The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe. - ahmetkozanAs the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment, the fate of Earth and existence has never been more uncertain. - Marvel StudiosNow that Earth has put its mark on the universe through the Avengers, all superheroes, including ones from other parts of the Galaxy, must join forces to stop the powerful Thanos from taking all the infinity stones and destroying the universe one planet at a time. - Joshua ChandlerThe mad titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) begins his hunt for the most powerful objects in the universe, the Infinity Stones, in this movie. With the Space Stone, given by Loki (Tom Hiddleston), and the Power Stone, Thanos sends (Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian to retrieve the Time Stone from Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), sends Proxima Midnight, and Corvus Glaive) to retrieve the Mind Stone from Vision (Paul Bettany). Meanwhile, Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) meets up with Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and sorcerers Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wong (Benedict Wong). With help from Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Stark and Strange join forces together and agree to stop Thanos. In space, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) also joins forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Groot (Vin Diesel), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), and Gamora (Zoe Saldana), the daughter of Thanos who warns Thor of his power. Thor travels away to defeat Thanos with Rocket and Groot, while the other Guardians join forces with Stark, Strange, and Parker. In Wakanda, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and his team, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), War Machine (Don Cheadle), and Bruce Banner to protect Vision and the Mind Stone in his forehead. With protection given from King T'Challa/Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), and his Wakandan army, Thanos will come for everyone to destroy half the universe. - kenamwilliamTwo years after the Leipzig fight and immediately following the destruction of Asgard, the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy learn that the Mad Titan Thanos is seeking to collect the Infinity Stones, which are said to be the most powerful artifacts in the universe. Facing an enemy too powerful to stop alone, the Avengers and the Guardians, alongside Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Spider-Man must come together and stop Thanos from inflicting his power and destroying the universe. - Blazer346The mad titan Thanos has begun his quest to obtain all six Infinity Stones, which will give him the power to wipe out half of all life in the universe. Earth's mightiest heroes, now with help from the Guardians of the Galaxy, will be tested like never before in their efforts to fight against their most powerful threat to date. - ahmetkozan

The Marvel Studios logo changes the "io " in the word Studios to the numbers "10" to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There is a statement at the end of the closing credits: "Thanos will return."The closing credits appear over a black background. The film title appears at the end, and crumbles to dust.SPOILER: There is a scene at the end of the closing credits: Nick Fury and Maria Hill are erased, but Fury manages to contact Captain Marvel. There is one after-credits scene and no mid-credit scenes, something which Marvel hasn't done since Iron Man 3 (2013).A text line for Copyright of 'Arrested Development' character is in the credits, giving away that there really is an Arrested Development easter egg in the movie. When the Marvel logo appears, an SOS signal is heard, leading in from the mid-credits scene of Thor: Tag der Entscheidung (2017).

Fehler

Character error
When Thor is explaining to the Guardians of the Galaxy where they need to go to forge a weapon to kill Thanos, he pronounces the destination as "Nivadellir" instead of "Nidavellir". He says it wrong twice in that scene. Yet, In the third act of the film he correctly pronounces it as "Nidavellir".
Character error
Peter Quill/Star-Lord tells Thor that Thanos is Gamora's step father. Thanos is Gamora's adoptive father, he was never married to Gamora's mother.
Continuity
While on the Maw's spaceship, Tony Stark, Peter Parker and Dr. Strange's cape have a conversation. and for the entire scene Peter's hair is slicked back. During an intense exchange with Tony, Peter says "You can't be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man if there's no neighborhood"; the camera cuts to a speechless Tony and then goes back to Peter, who now has a completely different hairstyle, featuring a fringe. His hair turns back up for the rest of the scene.
Continuity
In Guardians of the Galaxy Gamora is described as the last living member of her species, in this film Thanos is shown to have killed only half of her planet's population. Indeed he tells her that life has been better for those born on her homeworld since his genocide.
Continuity
The first time we see Tony Stark, he is walking with Pepper Potts in a park, discussing. Tony has a hoodie on his shoulders, its sleeves tied in a knot covering the miniature arc reactor on his chest. During their exchange, Pepper unties the knot to talk about the device on Tony's chest. Right after that, cutting from a three-quarters shot to a close up on Tony, the hoodie disappears and is nowhere to be seen for the remainder of the scene, up till the moment we are taken inside the Sanctum Sanctorum.
Continuity
The Infinity Gauntlet is different from the one Thanos dons in Age of Ultron.
Continuity
During the New York confrontation, when Ebony Maw strangles Dr. Strange and he falls down, he hits a cop car next to him. In the next scene, when Ebony Maw lifts the ground around Strange, the cop car is nowhere to be seen.
Continuity
When Peter falls from the spaceship in the upper atmosphere, the rocket containing the Iron Spider suit makes contact with his back and the suit begins spreading outward. The spider on the back of the suit is visible in one shot, then in the next shot, it shows the back forming (even though the back was the first part to form).
Continuity
Tony Stark's mustache changes as he is confronting Thanos on Titan. He says hes "gonna lose it" if Thanos throws another moon at him. In this shot, his mustache is dark and defined. After Thanos calls him by his name, in the very next shot his mustache has a lot more gray in it and is a bit thicker/unkempt.
Continuity
When Peter takes off his mask, the headphones and microphone inside it are removed, so Peter can't hear or speak to anybody, yet he still hears and replies to Stark despite this.
Continuity
When Thor tries to start the forge, he grabs the handles with and under/over grip. It then shows him flexing, as superheroes do, holding both handles with an underhand grip, thus heating the forge.
Continuity
When Ebony Maw wraps the electrical cable around Strange, he loops it several times around his neck to make him pass out. Immediately after, the cable is no longer wrapped around his neck, allowing his cape to fly him away. The cable is also tightly wrapped around his body, and then loosely wrapped around it in the next scene.
Continuity
When Stark, Strange and Banner first encounter Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian on the street, there is one yellow cab and one hidden car between them. When Cull Obsidian walks and then charges, several cars are suddenly between them, giving Banner and Stark lots of time to react.
Crew or equipment visible
When Tony Stark is deciding whether to call Steve Rogers or not from the Sanctum Sanctorum, the green screen used on set is seen reflected in the screen of Stark's flip phone.
Crew or equipment visible
When Tony, Bruce, Dr. Strange, & Wong leave the Sactum a car crashes into a pole. You can see the car is already damaged before impact.
Errors in geography
According to the end credits, one of the production units filmed both in the United Kingdom, and in Scotland. Since the United Kingdom includes Scotland, that would be like having a unit that filmed both in the United States, and in Missouri.
Factual errors
When an emergency exit on a school bus is opened, an alarm goes off. Peter would not have got off the bus quietly.
Factual errors
A person exposed to space does not instantly freeze.
Factual errors
Allowing suspension of disbelief that Tony Stark's chest piece could hold enough nano-material to form the suit and all of the missiles launched from it, it is absurd that it would contain enough material to plug a six-foot hole in a spaceship hull.
Factual errors
At one point, Tony refers to Peter as a millennial. Peter is 16 or 17 years old, firmly placing him in Generation Z.
Incorrectly regarded as goofs
When Thor goes to Nidavellir, Eitri tells Thor he made the gauntlet for Thanos because Asgard neglected to protect them. Asgard was just destroyed prior to the first scene of this movie, and yet the gauntlet was shown at the end of Age of Ultron, which takes place years prior. However, recall that Loki had been ruling Asgard for four years (overlapping Age of Ultron), and had allowed the Nine Realms to fall into war and chaos without doing anything on his own part to protect them (as opposed to Odin always striving to protect his kingdom). Loki's neglect would have most certainly left Nidavellir exposed to an attack from Thanos (assuming that Thanos obtaining the gauntlet in Age of Ultron is chronologically correct), which may be what Eitri was referring to.
Incorrectly regarded as goofs
In Black Panther, when King T'Chaka shows up at the beginning, N'Jobu and James (Zuri) bow before him to revere him as a king. In this movie, however, Bruce Banner attempts to bow before King T'Challa, who then states "We don't do that here." However, in the same movie (Black Panther) when Shuri bows for T'Challa in modern-day Wakanda, he recognizes this as a joke and tells her to stop. This could suggest that he had changed reverence policies since his father's reign.
Incorrectly regarded as goofs
When Tony Stark first uses the nano tech to put on the Mark L armor he takes off his shades with his right hand. As the armor finishes you can see the shades disappear from his right hand. Fully formed his right hand is still holding the now non existent shades. However, this is not a mistake. If you pay close attention to the glasses you will see that the shades are actually nanobots that are absorbed into his suit.
Revealing mistakes
During a close-up of Black Panther, when he gives the order to open the shield, his suit has clearly visible seams on his shoulders, giving it away as a spandex costume.
Continuity
The Mind Stone becomes much larger when Thanos removes it from Vision's head. When Ultron creates Vision, the Mind Stone is clearly smaller.
Continuity
After The Snap, the first person to turn to dust is Bucky. He does so while he is walking towards Captain America with a gun in his hand. When he turns to dust, the gun which is an inanimate object falls to the ground. But his machine arm, which is also an inanimate object, turns to dust.
Continuity
When Rocket gives Thor the eyeball and the two are discussing it, Rocket is standing next to Thor in one shot but appears in the pilot's seat, fully seat-belted in the next shot, even though audio seems to indicate the conversation between the two is continuous.
Continuity
When Thanos turns back time after Scarlet Witch has destroyed the mind stone and Vision is "revived", Scarlet Witch tries to stop him while shouting. In the next shot you see Thanos hitting Scarlet Witch with his right hand and you see him holding vision by his neck with his left. In the next shot you see Thanos reaching for vision and grabbing his neck.
Continuity
In the opening scenes on the Asgard ship Thanos uses Corvus Glaive's staff to kill Heimdall by stabbing him through the heart and it can be clearly seen in shot with Hiemdall's face as. However when Corvus removes his weapon he pulls it from Hiemdalls stomach.
Continuity
After Groot makes a handle for Stormbreaker, it is shown falling to the ground with the sharp side on the right and the hammer side on the left. When it lifts off the ground to go to Thor, the head is reversed.
Incorrectly regarded as goofs
After Thanos is victorious, people throughout the universe disintegrate with their remains blowing away. This includes their clothing and anything else they are wearing. However, other inanimate objects survive, such as Fury's communication device after he sends a distress signal to Captain Marvel. However, Nick Fury is shown to throw the distress signal on the ground before his hand disintegrates.

Trivia

Tom Holland was not allowed to read the script for this movie, since he revealed too many secrets for Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). In one of the promotional videos for the movie, several of its cast members are in an interrogation room refusing to reveal any spoilers, and Holland's mouth is conspicuously taped shut.
Mark Ruffalo revealed that he was given a fake script due to his habit of accidentally spoiling past Marvel movies. He jokingly claimed in an interview that the fake script was better than the real one.
Drax's line "I'll do you one better: Why is Gamora?" was ad-libbed by Dave Bautista. In an interview, Dave says that Chris Pratt actually gave him the idea for the line.
Doctor Strange has been studying for a few years since his solo movie, and is now considered one of the more powerful characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The writers also wanted to have him come off as sort of "the adult in the room" throughout the movie.
Tom Holland said that although he is a big fan of Chris Pratt and loved working with him, their scenes together were often challenging. Pratt's tendency to joke in and out of character made it hard for Holland to keep a straight face at times.
Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth ad-libbed the dialogue between Captain America and Thor in which they compared their facial hair, reasoning that they have known each other long enough to have that kind of friendly banter.
The Wakandan war cry "Yibambe" is Xhosa for "hold strong". Other possible translations include "hold fast" or just simply "hold it"; all of these translations are appropriate for their situation. This chant was also briefly recited by Nakia and the River Tribe in Black Panther (2018).
Captain America is wearing the same suit he wore in The First Avenger: Civil War (2016). The filmmakers redesigned his outfit to distress and desaturate it. He has ripped the labels off as well. The scales underneath his suit are a nod to Cap's original suit from the comic books.
Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) had a new look for this movie. At the end of The First Avenger: Civil War (2016), Steve Rogers quit as Captain America, something which occurred several times in the comic book. For the first time, he assumed the identity of "Nomad". Rogers' costume in this film captured basic elements of the Nomad character, in that it is primarily blue and features yellow, disk-like objects attached at the collar. For the second time Steve Rogers quit, he was featured to have grown scraggly with a beard, and he would eventually shave the beard and create a new identity as "The Captain". Consequently, the physical appearance and costume for Steve Rogers is a combination of the two most popular times he quit being Captain America.
As of the release of The: Ragnarök (2017), five of the six Infinity Stones have surfaced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Space Stone (also known as the Tesseract) was first revealed in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), and now resides with Loki. The Mind Stone, which was housed in Loki's staff until Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), is now in the possession of Vision. The Power Stone, first seen in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), is on Xandar, under protection of the Nova Corps. The Reality Stone (also known as the Aether) was first seen in Thor: The Dark Kingdom (2013), and was placed in the care of The Collector. With the destruction of The Collector's Vault in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), its whereabouts are unclear. The fifth and final known stone, the Time Stone (also known as the Eye of Agamotto), was revealed in Doctor Strange (2016), and is under his protection in Kamar-Taj. The whereabouts of the sixth stone, the Soul Stone, is revealed by Gamora to Thanos in this movie to be on the planet Vormir.
The Russo Brothers originally confirmed that Captain Marvel would be in this movie. However, co-Director Joe Russo later declared that the character would not, and she would instead make her debut in her own movie. The character will have a major role in Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Sir Kenneth Branagh (who directed Thor (2011)) can be heard at the beginning of the movie issuing the distress transmission that the Asgardian ship was being attacked.
Entertainment Weekly confirmed that Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier) would go by the code name of "White Wolf" in this movie, as he was called by the children of Wakanda in a post-credits scene of Black Panther (2018). White Wolf in the comics was T'Challa's adopted brother, Hunter, who was the leader of Wakanda's secret police, the Hatut Zeraze.
For the first time in Marvel Cinematic Universe history, Bruce Banner communicates directly with The Incredible Hulk.
Josh Brolin (Thanos) claimed that he did not see Black Panther (2018) until a week before this movie opened, due to it being constantly sold out in Los Angeles. Brolin added that stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe don't receive any special privileges of screening passes to the franchise.
Security for filming at Durham Cathedral was so tight, that not even the Cathedral wardens were allowed access inside.
The filmmakers wanted to create small physical rules that would allow characters to stay in the fight with Thanos. The idea of Thanos having to close his fist to use a stone was the bare minimum that allowed for a fight to be put up.
This movie takes place four years after Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017).
With a budget window of three hundred sixteen to four hundred million dollars, this is the most expensive movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date, and the most expensive superhero movie of all time so far.
Loki (Tom Hiddleston) says "we have a Hulk" to Thanos (Josh Brolin), quoting what Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) said to Loki in The Avengers (2012).
Just as they paid homage to their television show Community (2009) in the second and third "Captain America" movies, the Russo Brothers also included another Easter egg from their other well-known show, Arrested Development (2003), in this movie. In The First Avenger: Civil War (2016), the stair car from Arrested Development (2003) appeared in the Berlin airport. In this movie, blue Tobias Fünke from that same show appeared in one of The Collector's display cases. He can be seen behind and to the left of Gamora in one shot.
According to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, The Avengers are expected to have a "shake-up" in their team line-up between this movie and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Filming at Durham Cathedral involved moving almost all of the pews to make room for the sets. After filming on Saturday night, the sets had to be moved, and the pews replaced for Sunday services. On Monday, everything was changed around again to complete filming.
In a New York Times interview, when asked about how the script was written to accommodate the large cast, co-Writer Stephen McFeely said, "Not every scene can be twenty-five people in a room. You're going to have to make kickball teams and then have a tournament."
Like several names of people, things, and places in Thor's universe, the term Niðavellir is from old Norse/Icelandic, its literal translation being "Field of ancestors".
Robert Downey, Jr. requested the furniture from his house in Los Angeles be shipped to the filming location in Atlanta, and the movie studio complied.
Approximate screentime for each major character: Thanos - 29 minutes Gamora - 19 minutes 30 seconds Tony Stark / Iron Man - 18 minutes Thor - 14 minutes 30 seconds Dr. Stephen Strange - 11 minutes 30 seconds Peter Quill / Star-Lord - 10 minutes 15 seconds Vision - 9 minutes 45 seconds Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch - 9 minutes Bruce Banner / Hulk - 8 minutes 45 seconds Peter Parker / Spider-Man - 7 minutes 30 seconds Steve Rogers / Captain America - 6 minutes 45 seconds Rocket Raccoon - 6 minutes Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow - 5 minutes Drax - 4 minutes 45 seconds Mantis - 4 minutes 45 seconds Ebony Maw - 4 minutes Proxima Midnight - 3 minutes 45 seconds Cull Obsidian - 3 minutes 45 seconds Corvus Glaive - 3 minutes 30 seconds King T'Challa / Black Panther - 3 minutes 30 seconds Groot - 3 minutes 15 seconds Nebula - 3 minutes 15 seconds Okoye - 3 minutes 15 seconds Loki - 3 minutes 15 seconds James "Rhodey" Rhodes / War Machine - 3 minutes Eitri - 2 minutes 45 seconds Wong - 2 minutes 45 seconds Sam Wilson / Falcon - 2 minutes 15 seconds, James "Bucky" Barnes / Winter Soldier - 2 minutes Pepper Potts - 1 minute 30 seconds The Stonekeeper - 1 minute 30 seconds Shuri - 1 minute M'Baku - 1 minute Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross - 1 minute Nick Fury - 1 minute Maria Hill - 45 seconds Heimdall - 45 seconds The Collector - 45 seconds Ned Leeds - 15 seconds
Robert Downey, Jr. had a separate deal from his Marvel Cinematic Universe co-stars when he signed on to reprise his role as Tony Stark (Iron Man) in subsequent Avengers films, after The Avengers (2012). However, his appearances in The First Avenger: Civil War (2016) and Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) were not tied to this deal. These negotiations occurred separately after he completed his contract to do the Iron Man (2008) trilogy.
The 2014 Comic-Con revealed that Josh Brolin would play Thanos in future Marvel movies when he came on-stage wearing the Infinity Gauntlet.
Was originally titled "Avengers: Infinity War Part I", with the next movie titled "Avengers: Infinity War Part II". In late July 2016, Marvel Studios announced that this movie would simply be known as "Avengers: Infinity War", while Part II was initially referred to as Untitled Avengers (2019). The final title of Avengers: Endgame (2019) was not revealed until much later, because it contained a spoiler for Part I.
Thor confirms that "Groot" is a language that can be learned and spoken, as he took it as an elective in school on Asgard. This explains why only Rocket was originally able to understand Groot, and the other Guardians had to learn over time. This also confirms that Groot understands English (and likely other languages) but is only able to speak "Groot".
The name "Thanos" is a short form of the Greek name "Thanatos", which means "death" in Greek.
This is the nineteenth movie released by Marvel Studios in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This became the fourth movie to gross over two billion dollars worldwide, after Avatar - Aufbruch nach Pandora (2009), Titanic (1997), and Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015).

Co-Directors Anthony and Joe Russo have confirmed that several Asgardians have escaped Thanos' attack, Valkyrie from Thor: Ragnarök (2017) being one of them.
Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) telling Peter Parker (Tom Holland) to cut it out with the pop culture references is quite hypocritical, as Stark often pokes fun at other characters by calling them by movie titles or character names. In The Avengers (2012), Stark called Loki Wild Christmas (2000), Rock of Ages (2012), and Shakespeare in the Park (1995), he called Thor Gefährliche Brandung (1991), and he called Hawkeye "Legolas". In The First Avenger: Civil War (2016), he called Bucky Der Manchurian Kandidat (2004). In Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), he called Peter Parker "Crockett", as a reference to Miami Vice (1984). In this movie, he scorned Ebony Maw by calling him "Squidward", and he called Star Lord Flash Gordon (1980).
Proxima Midnight, the female member of The Black Order, normally wears a black horned helmet in the comic books. This was changed to organic horns growing from her head, to avoid similarities with Hela's distinctive helmet in Thor: Ragnarök (2017).
Spider-Man asks Tony if he's seen that "really old movie" Aliens - Die Rückkehr (1986). This mirrors his first appearance in The First Avenger: Civil War (2016), where he called Das Imperium schlägt zurück (1980) a "really old movie".
There were early drafts of the script where the backstory of The Black Order was explored more. Ultimately, the story was getting too crowded, so it was removed. However, Proxima and Corvus were married in the comic books, and it is hinted at very slightly by pairing them up, and how she reacts to Corvus getting stabbed.
Although not explicitly stated in the movie, Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight of The Black Order are husband and wife.
Marvel Studios made the hashtag #ThanosDemandsYourSilence to help stop spoilers.
Rocket calls the outriders "space dogs". This line was written after a focus group saw one of the test screenings: one of the viewers referred to the creatures as "space dogs". The filmmakers thought it was hilarious and decided to add it to the movie.

This movie, along with Avengers: Endgame (2019), was entirely shot on digital IMAX cameras, specially customized versions of the ARRI Alexa 65 optimized for IMAX. The First Avenger: Civil War (2016) was the first movie to incorporate the new cameras, but only for its airport fight sequence. This made Avengers: Infinity War (2018) the first non-documentary movie to be shot entirely with IMAX cameras, in an exclusive open-matte aspect ratio of 1.9:1. Unfortunately, the standard theatrical showings and all home video releases crop the movie down to the regular letterbox aspect ratio of 2.4:1.

Tom Holland accidentally revealed the movie's teaser poster via an Instagram live stream in November 2017. The poster contained a note from Mark Ruffalo explaining that the poster had not yet been released, and Holland was supposed to keep it a secret. Ironically, Holland had already showed the poster to the camera and read the message out loud before discovering a large sign on the back that read "CONFIDENTIAL, DO NOT SHARE". However, this seems like a deliberate set-up from the studio, as Holland and Ruffalo are known for revealing too many secrets about past Marvel movies. Plus, it lined up too conveniently with the release date of the first trailer. However, no proof exists.
Although Joss Whedon directed the first two Avengers movies, he did not return to direct either of the next two Avengers movies. Some cast members later admitted that Whedon had a difficult time directing such a close group of actors and actresses, since every creative difference he had with a single person would often lead to a discussion with the others as well. Instead, the Russo Brothers, who directed The Return of the First Avenger (2014) and The First Avenger: Civil War (2016), directed this movie and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Was shipped to theaters under the name "Mary Lou".

The French dub has Tony use "Voldemort" as an insult to Ebony Maw in place of "Squidward". This is likely because Squidward's French name, "Carlo", was too ordinary for audiences to get the joke, and for the joke to work. The same applies to Squidward's German name, "Thaddäus".
Josh Brolin acted in this movie with a foam headpiece that was the size of Thanos' head, with a camera on his face for visual effects. He also had to wear various foam parts depending on what the scene called for so the other actors and actresses didn't get too close to his real body, and so Thanos' scale was retained.

She did not appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and Thor: Ragnarök (2017) for the same reason.

T'Challa calls Bucky Barnes "The White Wolf". In the comic books, The White Wolf is the alter ego of T'Challa's adopted older brother.
Tom Holland was working on another movie at the same time of the filming of this movie. The other role required him to have longer hair than he'd previously had as Spider-Man, so he had his stylists incorporate the new length into his look for this movie. However, after seeing the final product when the first trailer came out, Holland regretted this decision, saying he looked ridiculous and jokingly compared himself to Prince Charming.

The screenwriters initially struggled about where Thor's new axe would be. There were even versions of the script where it was trapped by a dragon. But, returning to the model of scenes serving more than one storytelling function, the screenwriters felt this worked, as it provided a test for Thor, but also displayed what Thanos has wrought.
Carrie Coon was pregnant while doing the motion-capture and voicework for Proxima Midnight. However, most of Proxima Midnight's fight scenes were performed on-set in a motion-capture suit by stuntwoman Monique Ganderton, who is five inches taller than Carrie Coon.
Unlike the previous two "team-up" movies that Marvel has made, no new heroes are introduced in this movie. Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and The Vision were introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), and Spider-Man and Black Panther made their first appearances in The First Avenger: Civil War (2016). All of the heroes from The Avengers (2012) appeared in earlier movies.

Some fans took this as an indication that Mjölnir was made from neutronium, an extremely heavy substance that is sometimes left when big stars die (which would account for Mjölnir's extreme weight). The revelation that Mjölnir was forged in Nidavellir takes the metaphor even further, since Nidavellir is literally a forge inside the remains of a dead star.
In The Avengers (2012), Thor stated that Odin used his dark magic to transport him to and from Earth, as the Bifröst was destroyed. Audiences now find out the dark magic came straight from Heimdall, as he used it to transport The Incredible Hulk here.
